I have been a pipeline welder since 2004 and during the first several years welding I would encounter burns all over my upper body. I am right-handed so the burns would fall on the left side of my neck, shoulder, arm and chest. It was difficult to find welding clothes that would mitigate this because the average hoody would maybe last a week and leather jackets are too restrictive.
