How Do Customs & Import Duties Work?

Customs and/or import duties are charged when the product's parcel reaches its destination country. The customer or recipient pays these charges.

Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges as customs policies, and import duties vary widely from country to country. We recommend contacting your local customs office about this for further information.

Why Does The Leather On My Garment have imperfections on it?

We use high-quality leather and do our best to cut out the parts with imperfections on them. The marks are part of the animal's life, from scratching on barbwire to being branded. We use real leather instead of vegan or fake leather, and sometimes this results in slight imperfections.

how do i wash my fr welding shirt (novus), or fr welding jacket (testudo or shikoro)?

Flame resistant (FR) clothing should be laundered separately from your other clothing to prevent cross-contamination. We recommend buying a simple $4 laundry bag to clean these garments in. Turning the garments inside out before laundering will help prevent streaking.

Avoid washing with items containing velcro and zippers. Machine wash in cold water with mild laundry detergent. Liquid detergents or other products containing hydrogen peroxide may not be used because of the risk of damaging the FR finish. Avoid using bleach or any fabric softeners.

Hang dry. Do not dry clean.

How Do I Wash My fr thorax welding hoodie?

We recommend industrial dry-cleaning. DO NOT PUT IN A WASHING MACHINE. It's not the material we are worried about. It's more the leather shrinking and becoming hard.

For a cheaper alternative, we recommend filling the sink with some mild detergent and cold water. From there, you can dip the garment up to the leather and hand wash the fleece. Ring out the excess water and hang dry.

@Noel_Tapia
Thank you Up In Smoke Welding Apparel, this hoodie/jacket has been so good to me. I love it. It’s the most durable, tough, comfortable welding jacket I’ve ever bought. Even though I wear it a lot, it seems brand new to me still. This hoodie is tough! Thank you!
@Uponwaking
As a Canadian I really appreciate that my gear is made in Canada. I had never liked any of the welding jackets available on the market until I found Up In Smoke Apparel. Their clothes are so much more flexible and stylish, yet still protective. I've found both the FR Thorax LD Carbon X and the new Novus Welding shirt extremely comfortable to weld in and love the durability of the gear. The carbon sleeves on the jackets are amazing at repelling heat! I've never recieved so many compliments on my weld gear before.
